WAYNE COUNTY, MI — A man is in police custody after barricading himself and a young child inside a Wayne County home, according to reports.

Police were outside a home in Taylor, where the incident took place.

WXYZ reported that what began as a domestic situation in the area of Court Village around 2 a.m. Wednesday turned into a standoff with a barricaded gunman. A young girl is inside the home with the suspect, but the age of the child is unknown.
