Dangerous Heat, Storms Possible This Week Across Detroit Area
Genesee, Macomb, Oakland and Wayne counties are under a heat warning until 8:00 p.m. Tuesday.
SOUTHEAST MICHIGAN — Monday will be another hot and humid day across southeastern Michigan before storms roll into the area this week, according to the National Weather Service.
Highs across the region are expected to reach the mid-to-upper 90s with real feel temperatures well into the 100s, the weather service said.

Forecasters expect the first round of storms to cross the region during the afternoon hours Tuesday. The storms could bring heavy downpours, large hail and wind gusts up to 60 miles per hour, the weather service said.
Genesee, Macomb, Oakland and Wayne counties are under a heat warning until 8:00 p.m. Tuesday. All other southeastern Michigan counties are under a heat advisory until 8:00 p.m. Tuesday.

The heat finally breaks Wednesday when highs fall into the low 80s, the weather service said.
The weather service says another round of thunderstorms could hit the region Wednesday afternoon. Forecasters believe those storms could be strong as well.
As of Monday, southeastern Michigan is under a Marginal Risk (1/5) for severe weather on both Tuesday and Wednesday.
Showers and thunderstorms will stick around Thursday as highs climb back toward 90 degrees across the region, the weather service said.
Highs will hover around 90 degrees with storm chances to end the week, the weather service said.
