Detroit Lions Fan Wins NFL Fan Of The Year Award
A northern Michigan woman was recognized Thursday night for her diehard support of the Detroit Lions.
MICHIGAN — A northern Michigan woman was recognized Thursday night for her diehard support of the Detroit Lions.
Megan Stefanski, from Goetzville, won the 2024 NFL Fan of the Year at the league's award ceremony Thursday night.
Despite a drive that takes longer than five hours, Stefanski hasn't missed a Lions home game in downtown Detroit in more than a decade, according to the NFL.

Stefanski also travels to away games and organizes events for the team's fans on the road to get together the night before each game, according to the NFL.
In Detroit, she hosts weekly gatherings at Eastern Market, welcoming all fans to join with a donation to Hospice of the EUP (Eastern Upper Peninsula), according to the NFL.

Each summer, she also organizes a charity event at her family's bar and grill, Yooperman's, to benefit Hospice of the EUP, drawing in Lions fans and supporters from across the state, according to the NFL.
"She also brought together fans from around Michigan to raise over 30,000 for charity this past year. Megan is proud to use her fandom to positively impact the lives of those in her community," the NFL announced Thursday night.
