Detroit Woman Accused Of Stealing Packages Off Porches In Detroit
The woman has been charged in two cases and is also the suspect in a third porch pirate case, prosecutors said.
DETROIT, MI — Wayne County prosecutors on Wednesday said they have accused a 33-year-old woman of a series of porch thefts in Detroit.
Sade Scott, of Detroit, has been arraigned on two counts of misdemeanor mail theft, prosecutors said. Scott's bail was set at $1,500 and her next court appearance is scheduled for Jan. 6, prosecutors said.
According to authorities, Scott on Saturday afternoon stole the contents of a package from the porch of a home on Sorrento Street before throwing the box in the driveway and driving away. About an hour later, prosecutors said, Scott went to a home on Appoline Street and stole a package from another porch.

Detroit Police identified Scott as a suspect and arrested her on Sunday, prosecutors said. She is also the suspect in a third porch pirate case, prosecutors said.
