Detroit Woman Charged After Firing Shots During Repo Altercation: Police
A woman who was shot by police during a repo altercation is facing charges, according to the Wayne County Prosecutor's Office.
DETROIT — A woman who was shot by police during a repo altercation is facing charges, according to the Wayne County Prosecutor's Office.
Shaquanda Danielle Tankersley, 38, was charged with assault with intent to murder and felony firearm. She was placed in jail and given a $50,000 bond.
The incident happened at 2:58 p.m. last Thursday in the 10900 block of Nottingham Road in Detroit, police said.

Police said a man was in the process of securing the car for repossession when a Tankersley yelled something like, "You’re stealing my car," before firing multiple shots from a handgun.
Officers saw Tankersley firing at the unarmed man and opened fire on her, striking her in the upper torso, police said.

Tankersley was taken to a nearby hospital where she was treated and released, police said.
The tow truck driver and officers involved in the shooting were not hurt, police said.
