DETROIT — Downtown Detroit's fireworks show is once again nominated as one of the best places to see fireworks in the nation.

The Ford Fireworks, produced by The Parade Company, is among dozens of other fireworks shows across the nation vying for a spot on USA Today’s 10Best Readers’ Choice Awards 2025.

"The Ford Fireworks show in Detroit is so big that it takes not one, not two, but a total three barges to hold the pyrotechnics. In addition to the colorful display exploding above the Detroit River, spectators can enjoy live music and plenty of food and drinks," the outlet said of the Ford Fireworks.

Many places, including bars and restaurants, in the downtown area offer rooftop viewing parties to watch the fireworks. Other great places to watch the fireworks include Belle Isle and Hart Plaza, where they will be a DJ and food trucks.

In 2024, the show was voted the second-best place to see fireworks. Only the fireworks show at the Navy Pier in Chicago was ranked ahead of Detroit.
