SOUTHEAST MICHIGAN — Temperatures are expected to heat up with storms this week across southeastern Michigan, according to the National Weather Service.
Heat and humidity will begin rising on Wednesday with highs climbing toward 90 degrees across the region, the weather service said.
Highs then reach the 90s on Thursday with heat indexes climbing toward the 100s, the weather service said.

Storms will be possible on Thursday, especially during the nighttime hours, the weather service said.
As of Tuesday, there is a marginal risk (level 1/5) for severe weather Thursday night.

Warm and muggy conditions will linger into Friday when highs climb near the 90s again, the weather service said.
Temperatures stay warm with additional rain chances this weekend, the weather service said.
