Heavy Rain This Weekend: Metro Detroit Weather

Forecasters expect at least an inch of rain across most of southeastern Michigan by the end of the weekend.

Widespread rain showers are expected across southeastern Michigan this weekend, according to the National Weather Service.

Before we get there, Thursday and Friday will be sunny and dry with highs reaching the mid 60s across the region, the weather service said.

The first round of rain moves into the area during the overnight hours Friday and will stick around through Saturday, the weather service said.

Heavier and more persistent rain showers then move into the area on Sunday, the weather service said.
