Man Arrested After Attacking WSU Student In Her Detroit Apartment: Police
The student told officers she let the man inside her apartment after he asked to use her bathroom, according to police.
DETROIT — A man has been arrested after attacking a Wayne State University student inside her campus apartment in Detroit, according to police.
The incident happened at 11 p.m. last Saturday at the Anthony Wayne Drive Apartments, according to police.
The student told campus police that a man, whom she did not know, asked to use her bathroom, and she let him inside the apartment, according to police.

Once inside, the man then lured her into the bathroom and tried to close the door, according to police.
The man said he had a knife and threatened to sexually assault her, according to police.

The student fought back and said she was injured in the altercation, according to police.
She was able to de-escalate the situation and convince the man to leave the apartment, according to police.
Police described the man as aged between 20 and 30 years old with a sweaty, strong body odor, and went by the aliases “Joshua” and “Clarence Jose.”
He was identified and arrested in connection in connection with the attack, according to police.
Police said he has no ties to the university.
His name was not immediately released as charges pending.
