Metro Detroit Woman Dies In House Explosion

SOUTHGATE, MI — A 59-year-old woman is dead after nearly half her house was destroyed in an explosion, according to reports.

The woman lived in a house on Cunningham Street off Fort Street. Aerial video from WDIV shows half of the house completely destroyed and the neighbor's house damaged, too.

No one else was inside the home during the explosion. WDIV reported that there were oxygen tanks inside the home but the cause of the explosion is yet to be determined.
