Michigan Adds 2,367 New Coronavirus Cases, 28 Deaths
The state has now reported more than 164,000 coronavirus cases and over 7,200 coronavirus deaths.
MICHIGAN — More than 164,000 cases of the coronavirus have been reported in Michigan as of Tuesday, according to state health officials.
Michigan added 2,367 new COVID-19 cases on Tuesday, bringing its case total to 164,274. The state also reported another 28 COVID-19 deaths, increasing the number of deaths being attributed to the coronavirus in Michigan to 7,239.
The state on Monday reported more than 3,000 cases from over the weekend after reporting over 3,000 new COVID-19 cases on Saturday alone. Nearly 115,000 people in Michigan have recovered from the virus, the state said Saturday.

Michigan is ranked 16th in the U.S. in reported coronavirus cases, according to the World Health Organization. The state ranks 10th in the nation in COVID-19 deaths.

According to the World Health Organization, nearly 9 million COVID-19 cases have been reported in the U.S. Over 231,000 deaths in the U.S. have been attributed to the coronavirus, while more than 5.8 million COVID-19 recoveries have been reported.
Over 44 million cases of the coronavirus have been reported worldwide, according to the World Health Organization. That number includes more than 1.1 million COVID-19 deaths and over 32.3 million COVID-19 recoveries.
