Michigan Adds 9,010 New Coronavirus Cases, 62 Deaths
More than 216,000 cases of the coronavirus have been confirmed in Michigan, health officials said Monday.
MICHIGAN — Michigan health officials on Monday said that more than 9,000 new cases of the coronavirus have been added since Saturday.
The state reported 9,010 new cases of the coronavirus, increasing the total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in Michigan to 216,804. Meanwhile, the state said 62 more people in Michigan have died from the virus, bringing the COVID-19 death toll in the state to 7,640.
Nearly 129,000 people in Michigan have recovered from the coronavirus, according to state health officials.

According to the World Health Organization, Michigan is 14th in the U.S. in reported cases of the coronavirus. The state is ranked 10th in the nation in reported deaths attributed to the coronavirus.

More than 10.3 million COVID-19 cases have been reported in the U.S., according to the World Health Organization. Nearly 244,000 COVID-19 deaths have been reported in the U.S., while more than 6.4 million COVID-19 recoveries have been reported.
Nearly 51 million cases of the coronavirus have been reported worldwide, according to the World Health Organization. That number includes over 1.2 million deaths attributed to the coronavirus and nearly 36 million coronavirus recoveries.
