Michigan Adds Over 1,500 New Coronavirus Cases Tuesday

MICHIGAN — Michigan added more than 1,500 new cases of the coronavirus on Tuesday, according to the most recent data released by state health officials.

The state reported that 1,586 new COVID-19 cases have been confirmed in Michigan, bringing the statewide case total to 149,392. Meanwhile, the state also reported that 22 more people in Michigan have died from the coronavirus, increasing the COVID-19 death toll in the state to 7,053.

More than 109,500 people in Michigan have recovered from the coronavirus, officials said Saturday.

Michigan ranks 19th in the U.S. in reported COVID-19 cases, according to the World Health Organization. The state is 10th in the nation in reported COVID-19 deaths.

According to the World Health Organization, more than 8.4 million cases of the coronavirus have been reported in the U.S. More than 225,000 people in the U.S. have died from COVID-19, while over 5.5 million people in the U.S. have recovered from the virus.

Nearly 41 million cases of the coronavirus have been reported worldwide, according to the World Health Organization. More than 1.1 million COVID-19 deaths have been reported around the world. Nearly 30.5 million people have recovered from the virus.
