Michigan Reaches 318,000 Coronavirus Recoveries

Officials on Saturday reported that Michigan had reached 318,000 recoveries from the coronavirus.

MICHIGAN — Michigan health officials reported Saturday that 318,389 people in the state have recovered from the coronavirus.

In addition to reporting the new number of coronavirus recoveries in Michigan, health officials said an additional 7,341 new cases of the virus had been reported between Wednesday and Saturday. The increase brings the total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in Michigan to 477,269.

Michigan also added 254 COVID-19 deaths, bringing the coronavirus death toll in the state over 12,000.

Michigan updated its coronavirus numbers Saturday after not doing so on Thursday and Friday due to the Christmas holiday. The state is expected to update its coronavirus data on Monday with information from Saturday and Sunday.
