Michigan Reports 1,197 New Coronavirus Cases, 22 Deaths Thursday

The number of reported coronavirus cases in Michigan has reached 132,000.

MICHIGAN — More than 132,000 cases of the coronavirus have been reported in Michigan as of Thursday morning, according to the latest data released by state health officials.

Michigan added 1,197 new cases of the coronavirus on Thursday, bringing the total number of reported cases in the state to 132,039. Michigan reported 22 more COVID-19 deaths as well, increasing the coronavirus death toll in the state to 6,869.

Nearly 100,000 people in Michigan have recovered from the virus, officials said on Saturday.

According to the World Health Organization, Michigan is 17th in the U.S. in reported COVID-19 cases. Michigan is 10th in the nation in COVID-19 deaths.
