Michigan Reports 3,239 Coronavirus Cases, 60 More Deaths Monday

MICHIGAN — Michigan reported 3,239 new coronavirus cases and 60 more deaths attributed to the virus on Monday.

Monday's updated coronavirus figures bring the total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases to 480,508. The coronavirus death toll in Michigan now stands at 12,089, according to the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services.

On Saturday, Michigan reported that it had eclipsed the 318,000 recovery mark.

According to the World Health Organization, Michigan is ranked 11th in the U.S. in states with the highest number of reported coronavirus cases. Michigan is eighth in the nation in most COVID-19 deaths reported.

In the U.S., more than 19.6 million COVID-19 cases have been reported, according to the World Health Organization. Nearly 342,000 COVID-19 deaths have been reported in the U.S., where more than 11.5 million recoveries from the virus also have been reported.

Over 81.4 million cases of the coronavirus have been reported worldwide, according to the World Health Organization. The coronavirus has been attributed for the death of more than 1.7 million people around the world. Over 57.5 million COVID-19 recoveries have been reported worldwide.
