Michigan Reports 7,592 New Coronavirus Cases, 134 Deaths Thursday
More than 285,000 cases of the coronavirus have now been confirmed in Michigan.
MICHIGAN — More than 285,000 cases of the coronavirus have been confirmed in Michigan, state health officials reported Thursday.
Michigan reported 7,592 new COVID-19 cases on Thursday, upping the total number of confirmed cases in the state to 285,398. Of the 134 reported in Michigan Thursday, 61 happened previously and were located through a vital records search, the state said. Michigan has now reported 8,324 COVID-19 deaths.
Michigan added 5,772 new COVID-19 cases on Wednesday while also reporting 62 more COVID-19 deaths. As of Friday, the state had reported that more than 138,000 cases of the coronavirus resulted in recovery.

According to data gathered and provided by the World Health Organization, Michigan is 11th in the U.S. in reported cases of the coronavirus. The state is in the Top 10 in COVID-19 deaths.
