Michigan Reports 891 New Coronavirus Cases, 19 New Deaths
The state has reported over 125,000 cases of the coronavirus and more than 6,700 deaths as of Thursday.
MICHIGAN — Michigan added 891 new cases of the coronavirus Thursday, bringing the total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in Michigan to 125,578.
Nineteen new deaths also were reported in Michigan on Thursday, as the coronavirus death toll in the state grew to 6,781.
Health officials in Michigan reported 1,054 new cases of the coronavirus on Wednesday. As of Saturday, more than 95,000 people in Michigan had recovered from the virus.

According to the most recent data gathered and provided by the World Health Organization, Michigan is 17th in the U.S. in reported cases of the coronavirus. Michigan is ninth in the U.S. in coronavirus deaths. It had dropped to tenth in that category on Wednesday and has previously ranked as high as third in the nation.

The U.S. has reported more than 7.4 million coronavirus cases, according to the World Health Organization. Over 212,000 deaths in the U.S. have been attributed to the coronavirus. Meanwhile, more than 4.7 million people in the U.S. have recovered from the virus.
Over 34.5 million cases of the coronavirus have been reported worldwide, according to the World Health Organization. Of those cases, more than 1 million have resulted in deaths. Another 25.5 million have been reported as recoveries. Over 7.7 million cases are active.
