Michigan Reports 903 New Coronavirus Cases, Adds 22 Deaths

Michigan now has reported 129,826 cases of the coronavirus and 6,838 coronavirus deaths.

MICHIGAN — Nearly 130,000 cases of the coronavirus have been reported in Michigan, according to the latest data released by state health officials Tuesday.

Michigan added 903 new cases of the coronavirus on Tuesday, bringing the state's case total to 129,826. The state also reported 22 more COVID-19 deaths, bringing the statewide death toll to 6,838.

Nearly 100,000 people in Michigan have recovered from the virus, health officials said Saturday.

Michigan is 17th in the U.S. in reported cases of the coronavirus, according to the World Health Organization. Michigan is 10th in the nation in reported COVID-19 deaths.

According to the World Health Organization, the U.S. has reported more than 7.6 million cases of the coronavirus. Of those cases, over 215,000 have resulted in death. More than 4.9 million people in the U.S. have recovered from the virus.

Over 35.8 million cases of the coronavirus have been reported worldwide, according to the World Health Organization. COVID-19 has killed more than 1 million people around the world, while nearly 27 million people have recovered from the virus. More than 7.8 million COVID-19 cases remain active.
