Michigan Reports Nearly 5,000 New Coronavirus Cases Wednesday

The state also reported 75 new COVID-19 deaths Wednesday, bringing the coronavirus death toll in the state to 10,213.

MICHIGAN — Michigan on Wednesday reported nearly 5,000 new cases of the coronavirus, state health officials said.

The exact number reported Wednesday — 4,905 — brings the total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in Michigan to 415,200. The state also reported 75 new COVID-19 deaths Wednesday, bringing the coronavirus death toll in the state to 10,213.

Michigan added 191 new COVID-19 deaths Tuesday to cross the 10,000 death mark. The state also reported over 5,900 new cases Tuesday. More than 197,000 people in Michigan have recovered from the coronavirus, state health officials said Saturday.

According to the World Health Organization, Michigan is in the nation's Top 10 in COVID-19 cases and deaths.

More than 15.6 million cases of the coronavirus have been reported in the U.S., according to the World Health Organization. More than 295,000 of those cases have been COVID-19 deaths, while more than 9.1 million have been COVID-19 recoveries.

Over 69 million cases of the coronavirus have been reported worldwide, according to the World Health Organization. That number includes more than 1.5 million COVID-19 deaths and over 47.8 million COVID-19 recoveries.
