Michigan Reports Single-Day High Of New Coronavirus Cases Tuesday
The state reported its highest single-day high of new coronavirus cases on Tuesday.
MICHIGAN — Michigan has once again set a single-day high for new coronavirus cases.
The state reported 6,473 new cases on Tuesday, increasing the statewide total of coronavirus cases in Michigan to 223,277. Michigan also added 84 new COVID-19 deaths, bringing the coronavirus death toll in the state to 7,724.
On Monday, the state said that it had added over 9,000 more COVID-19 cases since Saturday. Health officials also reported that nearly 129,000 people in the state have recovered from the virus.

Michigan is 14th in the U.S. in reported coronavirus cases, according to the World Health Organization. Michigan is 10th in the nation in reported coronavirus deaths.

According to the World Health Organization, more than 10.4 million COVID-19 cases have been reported in the U.S. Over 245,000 COVID-19 deaths have been reported in the nation, while more than 6.5 million people in the U.S. have recovered from the virus.
Over 51.6 million cases of the coronavirus have been reported worldwide, according to the World Health Organization. More than 1.2 million deaths around the world have been attributed to the virus. Over 36.3 million around the globe have recovered from the virus.
