DETROIT — The Michigan Science Center is again extending a popular exhibit.
The science center’s Tyrannosaurs – Meet the Family, which features one of the world’s most complete T. rex skeletons, will now run through August.
The exhibit was originally scheduled to run from October through January, but was extended through May due to popular demand. Now, it will go through the rest of the summer.

"This exhibit has been a runaway hit, and we simply can’t let it go just yet," Michigan Science Center president and CEO Christian Greer said in a statement. “The public response has been phenomenal, and we are so grateful to Ford Philanthropy for their generous support in helping us extend the exhibition through August and offering new ways to bring even more people to learn about these awe-inspiring predators up close."
In addition to the T. rex skeletons, the exhibit also features other fossil displays and interactive exhibits such as dioramas, digital projections, augmented reality and others.
