A motorcyclist was killed in an overnight crash on Interstate 75 in Detroit, according to Michigan State Police.
DETROIT — A motorcyclist was killed in an overnight crash on Interstate 75 in Detroit, according to Michigan State Police.
The crash happened at 2:05 a.m. Thursday on Interstate 75 at Grand River Avenue in Detroit, police said.
Police said the motorcyclist was in the northbound lanes on the freeway when a Chevrolet Trailblazer smashed into the back of the bike. The motorcyclist then lost control of the bike and crashed, police said.

The driver of the Trailblazer also lost control and rolled over, police said.
The motorcyclist, who has not yet been identified, was taken to a hospital where they died, police said.

Police did not release an estimated age or description of the person.
Police did not report any other injuries.
The freeway has since reopened, as police continue investigating the crash.
