Oakland County Italian Restaurant Closing Down This Week

The restaurant was best-known for their wide selection of Italian specialties and its weekend brunch service.

CLAWSON, MI — A popular Oakland County Italian restaurant is closing down this week.

Zeoli's Modern Italian, located along 14 Mile Road in Clawson, announced it will permanently close down on Friday.

Customers can enjoy one last meal at the restaurant this week, except during lunch hours and on Tuesday. The restaurant will be closed during those hours to allow staff to seek new jobs.

"I have read so many posts of restaurants closing over the last 6.5 years and I’ve always wondered what I may say when the time comes," owner Scott Brown wrote on social media. "I will keep it simple. We hands down have had some of the best customers of any restaurant or bar I have ever worked at."

Brown also thanked customers, along with the friends and family members who had supported him.

"You have all made Zeoli’s a success story instead of just another restaurant closing," Brown said.

The restaurant was best-known for their wide selection of Italian specialties and its weekend brunch service, which included, omelets, French toast and Nutella Grilled cheese.

Brown told the Detroit Free Press the closing was a combination of things, including restructuring debt along with a Chapter 11 filing.
