Part Of I-94 In Detroit Reopened After Thursday Morning Shooting
Michigan State Police have reopened the westbound lanes of I-94 in Detroit after they were closed following a shooting.
WAYNE COUNTY, MI — The westbound lanes of I-94 between Chalmers and Moross in Detroit have been reopened after being closed Thursday morning as Michigan State Police investigated a shooting.
Around 2:45 a.m. Thursday, troopers said they responded to the area of I-94 and Chalmers for a shooting.
The caller told police he was driving westbound in the right lane when someone from inside a black SUV began shooting at him, police said. The victim did not know why he was targeted, police said.

The highway was closed as police gathered evidence, trooper said.
