Police Ask for Public's Help Identifying and Locating Shooting Suspect
The victim was walking west on Fenkell when the suspect came from across the street and shot him.

DETROIT, MI — The Detroit Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying and locating a suspect wanted for a fatal shooting that occurred on the city’s west side.
On October 9, 2016 at 4:20 p.m., in the 14200 block of Fenkell, an armed black male suspect approached a 24 year-old special needs, male victim and fatally shot him in the back. The victim was walking west on Fenkell when the suspect came from across the street and shot him.
The suspect is described as a black male, mid to late 20’s, 6’1”, slim build, dark complexion, clean shaven, dark brown eyes, his hair worn in short dreads (or braids)(2-3 inches in length) on top of his head with a short cut on the sides. The suspect was wearing a horizontal striped shirt and gray jogging pants. He was armed with a small-caliber handgun.
