Man, 19, Dies After Shootout On I-94 In Macomb County: Police
Police have not made any arrests and have not yet determined a motive for the shooting.
ST. CLAIR SHORES, MI — A 19-year-old man has died after a shootout on Interstate 94 in Macomb County over the weekend, according to Michigan State Police.
The shooting happened at 12:55 p.m. Saturday on the eastbound side of the freeway near 10 Mile Road in St. Clair Shores, according to police.
Police said the drivers of two vehicles, a black Chevrolet Malibu and an unknown silver vehicle, were shooting at each other while driving on the freeway.

The driver of the Chevrolet then rear-ended a GMC Acadia, while the driver of the silver vehicle continued east on the freeway, according to police.
Both drivers of the Chevrolet and GMC pulled onto the right shoulder after the crash, according to police.

One of the Chevrolet passengers carried a pistol up the embankment and threw it before returning to the Chevrolet, according to police.
Officers later recovered a 9 mm Glock 19 with a switch in the area, according to police.
Two people who were inside the Chevrolet were taken to a nearby hospital where police said the 19-year-old Detroit man later died. Police did not release the condition of the other person.
Family and friends identified the victim as Alvin Johnson, also known as "Lil Mark," according to a WWJ news report.
Johnson's mother started a GoFundMe to help with funeral expenses. His mom said Johnson was an amazing young man — a student-athlete and a scholar, who loved football and his family.
"Our family is grateful for all of the support during this very tragic time, and we sincerely appreciate all of the calls, texts, visits, and prayers. Many have reached out and asked how they can help during this very difficult time. Collectively, we decided to acknowledge the outpouring of love and allow those near and far that loved Alvin, to help ensure that he is properly laid to rest," she wrote.
Police have not made any arrests and have not yet determined a motive for the shooting. No other details were released as the investigation continues.
