Police Shoot Burglary Suspect In Wayne County: Report

The man is listed as in stable condition at a local hospital after being shot.

WAYNE COUNTY, MI — Police in Wayne County shot a burglary suspect early Thursday morning after they said the man attempted to run them over with a vehicle.

Officers from the Warren Police Department shot the 35-year-old man around 2 a.m. in the parking lot of a Knights Inn in Madison Heights, according to WXYZ.

The suspect had stolen a safe in Auburn Hills and Warren special ops officers were following the man — who had an extensive criminal history, police told WXYZ.
