60 MPH Winds, Large Hail Expected Across Detroit Area Tuesday As Temps Hit 80
All of southeastern Michigan is under a Slight Risk (2/5) for severe weather on Tuesday.
SOUTHEAST MICHIGAN — A powerful line of thunderstorms is expected to cross southeastern Michigan on Tuesday as temperatures warm up, according to the National Weather Service.
The storms are expected to move into the region sometime between 12 and 5 p.m. Tuesday when highs reach the lower 80s, the weather service said.
Forecasters warned that some storms will bring heavy downpours, large hail and strong winds reaching up to 60 miles per hour.

All of southeastern Michigan is under a Slight Risk (2/5) for severe weather on Tuesday. The region is also under a wind advisory through 6 p.m. as steady winds will reach up to 45 miles per hour.
Forecasters warned gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects and knock down tree limbs.

The storms will fade away during the evening and nighttime hours when a cold front moves into the region, knocking temperatures down into the 40s overnight, the weather service said.
Wednesday will be dry and mild, before more rain and thunderstorms move into the southeastern Michigan region Thursday and Friday, the weather service said.
