Severe Storms Possible Across Detroit Area Wednesday: What To Know
All of Southeast Michigan is under a marginal (level 1/5) risk for severe storms Wednesday.
SOUTHEAST MICHIGAN — There is a strong chance for severe thunderstorms across southeastern Michigan on Wednesday, according to the National Weather Service.
The storms are expected to move into the region during the afternoon and early evening hours when highs reach the upper 80s, the weather service said.
Forecasters warned the storms can produce heavy downpours and damaging winds reaching up to 60 miles per hour.

A cool front will push highs slightly below average for Friday, before 80-degree temperatures return for the weekend, the weather service said.
