Severe Storms Possible Across Detroit Area This Weekend: What To Expect
All of southeastern Michigan has been placed under a slight (level 2/5) risk for severe weather on Saturday.
SOUTHEAST MICHIGAN — Severe thunderstorms are possible across southeastern Michigan this weekend, according to the National Weather Service.
The storms will likely develop during the afternoon hours on Saturday when highs reach the 80s, the weather service said.
Heavy downpours, large hail, damaging winds reaching 60 miles per hour and even isolated tornadoes will be possible across the region Saturday, the weather service said.

The storms and any lingering showers should move out of the region by the nighttime hours, the weather service said.

High temperatures will stick to the low 80s with low humidity levels through the first part of next week, before highs climb back into the 90s with more storm chances, the weather service said.
