SOUTHEAST MICHIGAN — Thunderstorms are expected to hit southeastern Michigan this week as temperatures heat up with higher humidity levels, according to the National Weather Service.
The storms are expected to move into the region during the afternoon hours Wednesday when highs reach the mid-80s, the weather service said.
Forecasters do not expect any severe weather, but warned heavy rainfall and gusty winds are possible.

Dry conditions return Thursday and Friday before another chance of thunderstorms this weekend when highs climb back toward the 90s, the weather service said.
