Toledo Mud Hens Plan 'Beatles Night'
The Detroit Tigers minor league affiliate Toledo Mud Hens will hold Beatles Night next month and wear special uniforms.
METRO DETROIT, MI — Minor league baseball has a rich history of creative marketing schemes to attract fans to the ballpark. Clowns, mini-motorcycle races and the list goes on and on. The Toledo Mud Hens — Detroit’s minor league AAA affiliate — may have come up with a first, however.
“Beatles Night” will see the Hens wear Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band-themed uniforms on June 16. No, that’s not a misprint. And here’s a Twitter post from the minor league franchise to prove it:
