DEARBORN, MI — Authorities said I-94 will be closed in both directions temporarily Wednesday as crews work to repair damage done after a train derailed over the freeway, near Wyoming Avenue.

Michigan State Police said they were called to eastbound lanes of I-94 near Wyoming in Dearborn around 5:45 a.m. following reports of a derailed train.

When troopers arrived to the scene they said they noticed a flat car was hanging over the exit lanes to Michigan and Wyoming. Troopers said the car had damaged part of the bridge.
