Uber Testing New Feature In Detroit, 2 Other U.S. Cities
The ride-share company is expected to launch the new tool next month.
DETROIT — Detroit is one of three cities where Uber will test a new feature that pairs women drivers and riders.
The new tool gives women the option to ask for a woman driver and create a preference in their app settings. It also allows women driving for Uber to choose a setting indicating a preference for women riders.
There's no guarantee the rider will be matched with a woman, but the chances increase when you make the selection.
