Katie's Spirits Plans Benefit Dinner for Dextech Employee's Family

Brian Mogan, a resident of Bunker Hill Township, died in an automobile accident on Feb. 3.

A benefit dinner for the family of Brian M. Mogan will take place at Katie's Food & Spirits in Dexter on Feb. 17.

Mogan, 40, an employee at Dextech died on Feb. 3 when he lost control of his vehicle and struck a tree on Feb. 3.

The dinner will include an all-you-can-eat Sloppy Joe bar. The pub will donate $1 from every drink purchased between 3 and 6 p.m. to Mogan's family. There will also be raffle drawings and a 50/50 drawing.

Katie's Manager Angela Kitchen said there is a suggested donation of $10 to attend the event, but no one will be turned away due to lack of funds.

"We are asking people to donate what they can for Brian's family," Kitchen said.

All of the proceeds from the fundraiser will be donated to Mogan's family.

"Brian was just a great guy," Kitchen said. "He was always willing to help out other people in the community. He will be missed."

The dinner will take place at 3:30 p.m. on Sunday.
