• Dexter Area Emergency Response Calls, Dec. 14-20, 2025 - The Sun Times News (thesuntimesnews.com) — Emergency crews in Dexter handled a busy week of mostly medical calls between December 14 and 20, including incidents at Dexter High School, local roads like Baker and Dan Hoey, and several neighborhood addresses. Firefighters also managed a chimney fire and vehicle fires, while police responded to domestic disputes, suspicious vehicles, and minor crashes, with most situations resolved without major incident.
   

• Buryl 'Bud' Breed - The Sun Times News (thesuntimesnews.com) — Dexter is mourning longtime resident Buryl “Bud” Breed, a 92-year-old former NFL player and celebrated Michigan high school football coach who recently passed away. Friends and neighbors can honor him at a Celebration of Life luncheon on January 17, 2026, at Dexter’s Pub, with additional services planned in Paw Paw and Bloomingdale.
