Emerald City Designs Wins International Award for 'Modern' Tablescape

A dramatic and modern tablescape won Farmington Hills-based Emerald City Designs Best Dining Table Design 2013 at The Special Event Gala Awards, held earlier this month in Nashville, TN. 

The award, given by Special Events Magazine, distinguishes the finest work in special events worldwide, according to a release. Emerald City Designs received its award for “A Modern Union”, featuring two long, rectangular dining tables with mirror tops, and Manzanita branches painted glossy black, clear chargers, black goblets, and chevron printed menus to add the chic, modern appeal.

Emerald City Designs is celebrating its 20th year in business. Company owner David C. McKnight credits much of his success to his 50-plus employees. 

“To be blessed in business, is to make friends along the way," he said.
