Update: Power Restored in Ferndale

Update 10:12 a.m.: Power has been restored to the area previously affected by an area outage on Wednesday morning, DTE spokesman Scott Simons said.

Simons said the outage was due to a downed power line. He said power was back on by 8:30 a.m.

Nearly 600 DTE customers in Ferndale were without power early Wednesday morning, according to a DTE outage map.

Harding Administration Center was affected by the outage earlier this morning but power is now back on, said district community relations director Stephanie Hall.
