Disabled Veteran Hit, Killed In Oakland County Hit-And-Run: Police
Police are looking for a dark-colored sedan, possibly a Kia or Hyundai, in connection with the crash.
OAK PARK, MI — A 71-year-old disabled veteran was killed in a hit-and-run in Oakland County over the weekend, according to police.
The incident happened at roughly 1:30 a.m. Saturday in the area of 9 Mile Road and Harding Street in Oak Park, according to police.
Police said it wasn't until 5:20 a.m. when they received calls about the incident. When officers arrived at the scene, they found the man lying dead in the roadway, according to police.

Investigators determined the wheelchair-bound veteran was in the roadway when he was struck by a dark-colored sedan – possibly a Kia or Hyundai. They said the car never stopped.
Investigators are still looking for that car. They asked anyone with information about the hit-and-run crash to call the Oak Park Public Safety Department at 248-691-7447.
