Ferndale Police Officer Records Christmas Tunes, CD Supports Forgotten Harvest

Ferndale Police Detective Brendan Moore has recorded an album of holiday tunes, “Christmas in Detroit,” to benefit food charity Forgotten Harvest. Moore is no stranger to the singing spotlight. In 2014, he won a competition for police officers and fire fighters. The Brave National Anthem contest sponsored by CoMerica Bank, awarded Moore a $10,000 grant for his station, and invited him to sing the National Anthem before two Detroit Tigers home games.
The CD is $10, and proceeds go to Forgotten Harvest, a Detroit-based food charity that supports 250 agencies that provide meals to the hungry, including emergency food pantries, soup kitchens, children’s homes and homeless shelters. The charity offers assistance in Wayne, Oakland and Macomb counties, covering 2,000-square miles a day. Forgotten Harvest has a program allowing volunteers to create events that support its mission of bringing food to the hungry in Ferndale and beyond.
To purchase Det Moore's CD, visit the Ferndale Police Department, 310 E 9 Mile Rd, Ferndale.
