​Throw Axes, Eat Chicken Soup In New Ferndale Hot Spot

Newly open this week, The Corner and Detroit Axe, are sharing space the building that once housed Ferndale’s Local Kitchen & Bar.

The Corner is divided into distinctive spaces, including a game room with over 1000 games for patrons to enjoy. The food looks perfect for icy winter days. There’s mishmash soup, The Corner’s take on matzoh ball soup and vegan tomato bisque. A smoked, bricked chicken sounds homey and inviting, and the shareable cornbread skillet looks pretty delectable, too.

Detroit Axe is exactly what is sounds like - apart from not actually being in Detroit proper. There are axe-throwing stalls with a setup a little like ski-ball where you can hurl axes at targets.
