Henry Ford Health Genesys nurses mark 100th day on strike (abc12.com) — Nurses at Henry Ford Genesys Hospital in Grand Blanc have now been on strike for 100 days, pressing for safer staffing levels and a new contract. Nearly 750 Teamsters-represented nurses have maintained a round-the-clock presence outside the township hospital, drawing strong support from the Grand Blanc community while negotiations with Henry Ford Health continue.
   

2. Flint City Bucks submit bid to host 2026 Lamar Hunt US Open Cup 1st Round Match (midmichigannow.com) — Grand Blanc could host a nationally watched 2026 U.S. Open Cup first-round soccer match at the new 6,000-seat Don Batchelor Stadium, if the Flint City Bucks’ hosting bid is approved. School and tourism leaders say the event would spotlight Grand Blanc’s facilities, boost visitors, and build on the community’s strong soccer tradition. Ticket sales would begin in early January if the bid succeeds.
   

3. 'Cinnamom bandit' charged in bakery break-ins. What we know (lansingstatejournal.com) — A Grand Blanc bakery has been hit by a series of break-ins, leading to six felony charges against a 19-year-old Burton man after police used drones and a helicopter to track a suspect nearby. CinnaMom Bakery on S. Saginaw Street reports property damage, stolen food and cash, but also strong community support and upgraded security following the incidents.
   

4. Grand Blanc shooting survivor shares recovery story (ksltv.com) — A Grand Blanc resident wounded in the deadly September church shooting is finally home after 25 surgeries and weeks in the hospital. He and his family describe a difficult physical and emotional recovery, but say support from the Grand Blanc faith community and neighbors has helped them focus on gratitude and healing heading into the holidays.
   

5. Flint man pleads guilty in Grand Blanc Township road rage shooting (mlive.com) — A Flint man has pleaded guilty to reduced charges after firing multiple shots at another driver during a July road rage incident in Grand Blanc Township, with sentencing set for January 26, 2026. Police say the confrontation began as one driver followed a silver Ford Escape for its plate, ending when shots struck his vehicle. Officers later arrested the suspect in Flint and recovered a handgun and pills.
