• Grand Haven Township asks state to review golf course's groundwater permit (fox17online.com) — Grand Haven Township leaders are asking the state to re‑examine American Dunes Golf Club’s groundwater permit after a study linked the course’s irrigation to worsening local groundwater shortages. Neighbors near the course report dropping pond levels, rising iron, and costly water treatments, and township officials say only state regulators can decide whether changes are needed.
   

• Academic All-Big Ten Honors Awarded to Fall Athletes - Michigan State University Athletics (msuspartans.com) — Two Michigan State student-athletes from Grand Haven, cross country runner Seth Norder and football player Ashton Lepo, have earned Academic All-Big Ten honors, each carrying strong GPAs. They’re among 145 Spartans recognized across fall sports for maintaining at least a 3.0 GPA while competing at the conference level, with several teammates achieving perfect 4.0 records.
   

• Historic Grand Haven lighthouse damaged in November storm (wzzm13.com) — A late November storm blew out several windows in the lantern room of Grand Haven’s historic outer south pier lighthouse, temporarily setting back preservation work. The Grand Haven Lighthouse Conservancy has already installed a temporary fix, but custom replacement panels and a crane will be needed, and there’s no timeline yet for permanent repairs.
