Here are the top stories today in Grand Rapids:
- A man was found guilty on Wednesday of sexually assaulting a Grand Rapids store clerk in Nov. 2019. Byron Morris was found guilty of kidnapping, two counts of first-degree criminal sexual conduct, unarmed robbery, and fourth felony offender. Morris had previously plead not guilty in Nov. 2019, and his sentencing is scheduled for Dec. 16. (WOODTV.com)
- A Grand Rapids man attempted to record the fatal shooting of a hotel security guard that was sent to remove him from a hotel room on Tuesday. The 21-year-old gunman, Jacob Grygorzyk, then posted the video on social media but it was subsequently removed. After the shooting at the Grand Rapids Inn in Wyoming, Grygorzyk then went to his mother’s house nearby and killed himself. (FOX 2 Detroit)
- Ottawa Hills High School is going virtual through Nov. 10 due to staffing shortages as a result of confirmed COVID-19 cases and close contacts. (mlive.com)

- Alexandria Lyons, the 23-year-old woman who police say was encouraging others to loot and cause destruction during a Facebook Live of the downtown Grand Rapids 2020 riot, has taken a plea deal. (mlive.com)
