Here are the top stories today in Grand Rapids:

  1. The city of Grand Rapids has stepped in to provide temporary financial support for domestic violence survivors. 61st District Court Administrator Tanya Todd said, "The city... approved a budget amendment request in order to support the continued efforts of the Domestic Assault Response Team (DART) program." The financial assistance was approved at Tuesday night’s meeting, but they do not yet have a date by which DART will resume its on-scene work with Grand Rapids police. (WOODTV.com)
  2. A suspect is at large after they lead police on a chase through Grand Rapids on Wednesday night. Sgt. Dan Adams said the incident began when officers tried to pull over a car that matched the description of a suspect vehicle in a cell phone store robbery, but the vehicle fled and officers lost sight. The pursuit continued on foot after the suspect crashed in the 1000 block of Santa Cruz in East Grand Rapids, but nobody has been taken into custody. (WZZM13.com)
