  1. Michigan State Police are searching for a hit-and-run driver who is accused of hitting a pedestrian on I-196 in Grand Rapids between 7 and 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 15. The vehicle is believed to be a black 2015 GMC Yukon, Chevrolet Suburban or Tahoe, or Cadillac Escalade with a missing passenger-side chrome mirror. The victim was not seriously injured. (WOODTV.com)
  2. On Thursday, The Grand Rapids Police Department’s bomb squad is setting off controlled detonations to dispose of explosives and other hazardous materials that were seized during investigations. The annual event will take place at the Grand Rapids Compost and Yard Waste site. (WOODTV.com)
  3. On Christmas Eve, The Michigan Veteran Homes in Grand Rapids received a $30,000 donation to support local veterans. The owners of the Rolling Rock Ranch in Hersey, Leo and Valerie Martin, and the nonprofit Friends of Rolling Rock Ranch gave the donation. (GR|MAG)
