Here are the top stories today in Grand Rapids:
- More than 150 parking tickets were issued following seasonal odd-even parking restrictions in Grand Rapids. Odd-even parking restrictions prohibit parking on the side of the street with odd-numbered addresses on even-numbered days from 1 a.m. to 6 p.m. The restrictions began at 12:01 a.m. on Nov. 1 and will last until 11:59 p.m. on April 1. - A Grand Rapids McDonald's restaurant manager has been awarded the Ray Kroc Award. Louis Gonzales, manager of the McDonald's located at 415 28th St. SE in Grand Rapids, was recognized as one of the top-performing restaurant managers globally, having worked there for 12 years. Gonzales was one of 345 McDonald’s restaurant managers around the world, from 60 markets, representing the top one percent of restaurant managers to receive the honor, which includes a cash prize and a trophy.
