Here are the top stories in Grand Rapids today:
- The popular Grand Rapids International Wine, Beer, and Food Festival will return to Grand Rapids for its 14th year this upcoming weekend. The event is scheduled for Nov. 19 and 20 at DeVos Place Convention Center in downtown Grand Rapids. Tickets are $20 and can be purchased online. (WOODTV.com)
- The suspect in a Grand Rapids hit-and-run crash from Oct. 18 has been arrested. 19-year-old Jaiden Edwin Colborn has been arraigned for reckless driving, failure to stop at the scene of an accident, and driving with a suspended license. The victim, who was jogging when they were hit, is still in serious condition. (Fox17)
- Grand Rapids Public Schools announced it would host a series of vaccination clinics for students five and older in an effort to decrease rising case numbers. GRPS said the clinics would be staggered and likely held inside individual school buildings with Cherry Health. The clinics will begin next week but do not have specific dates yet. The pediatric vaccine requires parental consent. (WZZM13.com)
