- A woman is suing the city after a Grand Rapids police officer allegedly shot and killed her dog while responding to a complaint. Billie Barrone said her dog, Jay Jay, was shot by a police officer who was investigating a complaint about her dog. She said that the dog, an emotional support animal, was running in circles and not harming anyone when Officer Mark Konyenbelt shot the dog. (MLive.com)
- If you love movies and you love technology, youβre going to love a very hands-on exhibition currently on display at the Grand Rapids Public Museum. The POPnology exhibition lets guests explore some of the greatest works of pop culture, inspired by technology, innovation, and imagination. It's open through Jan. 30. (WOODTV.com)
- A fire broke out at a Grand Rapids home Sunday morning that caused extensive damage. Grand Rapids firefighters were dispatched to the fire on Skyline Circle NW around 8:36 a.m.; the single-story duplex's attached garage was engulfed in flames, which were spreading to the rest of the house. Fortunately, all occupants were safely evacuated and accounted for. (WZZM13.com)
